THE FEATHERED PHOENIX
We are multi-layered individuals with our own unique life stories that need more than a "one size fits all" approach to our health and well being. Wholistic modalities involve examining all aspects of the individual and finding what works best to bring you back to wholeness on all levels.
My career began in 1983 when I started working as a receptionist in a Veterinary office. I eventually wanted more so I went back to college to become a Veterinary Technician. At that time I met and married a Veterinarian (Dr. Jonathan Wright, DVM) and we eventually started our own clinic. My health took a turn and I discovered that allopathic (conventional) medicine wasn't working for me, so I started my journey into wholistic medicine. This opened up a whole new world for me and my husband as my health returned and we ended up selling our practice and going strictly into wholistic medicine in 1994.
We each began a search for answers and learned new ways of looking at causes for ill health. He discovered Homeopathy and I discovered Flower/Gem Essences and finished my formal training for humans and animals in 1997. Along the way we began seeing our clients were interested in Homeopathy for themselves as well as their animal companions, so I began formal training in Homeopathy for humans in 2001 and finished my internship in 2005. During these years of discovery I also took a variety of courses ranging from nutrition, energy healing, tuning forks, chakra and color therapy.
I recently finished (spring of 2025) The Four Winds course to become a Master Practitioner of Energy Medicine where the focus is on Shamanic Energy based on the ancient Incan healing traditions from Peru. I have always loved working with energy healing (trained in Reiki energy healing in 1992) and was drawn to learn another way to work in this field and enhance the energetic healing remedies I work with in the Flower/Gem Essences and Homeopathy.
My background in both allopathic and wholistic medicine gives me a broader understanding of health and wellness and allows me to look deeper for the potential causes of dis-ease we experience in our mind, body and spirit thus helping clients find their way to fulfill their purpose in this lifetime.
"The main reason for the failure of modern medical science is that it is dealing with
results and not causes. Nothing more than the patching up of those attacked and
the burying of those who are slain without a thought being given to the real
strong hold."
Dr Edward Bach, founder of the Bach Flower Essences system of healing
